Many of our best clients have their own marketing department. So, why would they need marketing consultancy from elsewhere? Time and already fully utilised resources are often the main drivers to seek outside help, and in this case it was both of these plus some extra ideas that were required. This client was launching a new product. They asked us to find and research 8 launch venues that were very different from your normal meeting or conference facility. Each venue had to also provide the potential for a good PR story and provide something extra for the delegates. We were also asked to use the product and create USPs that would be attractive to their target customers and then provide ideas for direct marketing and e-mail marketing campaigns. We also provided lots of ideas and samples for unusual promotional gifts that also reflected the nature of the new product.
